When you visit Noosa and appreciate its natural and cultural attractions, you could be forgiven for feeling like you never want to leave.
Noosa’s National Park, teeming with wildlife, its forested edges scalloped with perfect beaches, is only a ten-minute walk from one of Australia’s most elegant shopping strips — Hastings Street —offering stylish restaurants, trendy cafes, bars, designer fashion boutiques just a few steps from the turquoise waters of Noosa Main Beach.
A five-minute drive or a leisurely ferry ride up the Noosa River takes you to neighbouring Noosaville, now growing in reputation for fine dining and great shopping. Noosaville takes full advantage of its riverfront location, with plenty of playgrounds, barbecue areas, walking tracks and fishing platforms along the shoreline.
Still stylish but smaller in scale than Noosa are nearby Sunshine Beach, Sunrise Beach, Marcus Beach, Peregian Beach and Coolum Beach, all uncrowded surf beaches with sparkling blue water, offset by pure, white sand.
Coolum is home to the best-ranked resort golf course in the country, while Peregian is famous for its popular monthly outdoor live music event, Peregian Originals and its friendly village vibe.
Eumundi’s twice-weekly market is the lifeblood of the town, and offers a colourful array of designer and retro clothing, organic produce, arts and crafts, plants, live music and roving entertainers.
